Acquisitions

Quick post. I have garnered some recommendations from a thread over on the Chronicles forum and a few new books have been loaded onto my kindle:

Islands by Marta Randall
The Sword of Rhiannon by Leigh Brackett
Witch World by Andre Norton
The Best of C.L. Moore

The thread I've linked to above is quite interesting actually. It began as a discussion of suitable SF novels to recommend to someone new to the genre. Then the gender issue came up with fairly predictable results (ie. many of the male posters started shouting "political correctness" and "quotas")!

By the way, I am now reading The Silver Metal Lover by Tanith Lee and enjoying it very much. The review will be along in due course.
